The beginning of the year itself starts with the holiday mood back from last month of December. Late winters are the best time to visit Agra, Delhi, Khajuraho (MP). Warm your hearts even in the cold winters. And if you are a beach lover then the one-stop destination is Goa and Jan will be perfect. Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry can be in the list if you want to explore South India.

February

February, the month of love and lovers attract a lot of beautiful destinations in India. The transition from winter to spring also makes it a special time to cherish. Some of my favourite destinations of this time- Kerala, Goa, Mumbai and Jaipur (Rajasthan). Kerala backwaters, views and the Valentines time creates the magic. Jaisalmer is also a perfect place in Feb because the deserts can never be explored in any other season. So a desert safari is the best choice.

March

March is one of the best months for travel in India. Early summers in a few places help you travel light and enjoy the sunshine. The vibrant holiday mood of Holi adds to the feel. Mathura and Vrindaban in UP give colourful Holi festive experiences. Shimla in HP and Leh Ladakh can give the best snowfall experiences around this month. Hill stations like Nainital and Dehradun are also best places.

April

April is definitely the family time as kids have vacations and vacations means a sure short trip to explore places. As the summers are welcomed and people haunt cold places. Darjeeling, Massourie, Manali, and Gangtok are a few favourites of all. Temp of these places comes around 7 degree Celcius to 28 degree celcius making your visit pleasant. If you are an animal lover, then the Ranthambore national park will be an exciting visit to view tigers.

May being one of the hottest months of the year does not stop travellers to enjoy. When the heart of India is in boiling heat, the hill stations of Himachal Pradesh, valleys of Kashmir, backwaters of Kerala, and snowy Ladakh can be your memorable vacation.

June

After the scorching heat of May, mid-June in India gets monsoons and makes travel little interesting. Family vacations are in great numbers in June. Places like Rishikesh, Trithan Valley, Andaman, Goa, Kasol, Manali are the best destinations with friends and family.

July

With setting monsoon, it sure is a wake-up call to go vacationing. Do not curse the season for being stuck inside, instead pack your bags because monsoon brings a time when you can actively communion with nature. So if you are a nature lover this is the perfect time to meet the hills, valleys, mountains, waterfalls and jungles. The Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand is like a paradise on earth. Few more loved destinations are Kodaikanal, Gangtok, Coorg and Nainital. Indulge in the lush greenery and make a memorable July.

August

This time of the year gives you lush green mountains, beautiful sunsets, crystal clear waters reflecting vibrant green surroundings and not to miss, the sky-high waterfalls. Though when monsoons have set in every corner of India, August is a perfect time to visit places like Lahaul valley, HP, Panchgani Hills and Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. Another place Pondicherry is blessed with its sun-kissed beaches.

September

India is a versatile country and has a place for every season, budget and mood. This month again has the best times to plan a vacation, because of the amazing weather. Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh and Lonavala, Maharashtra are best spots this time of year. Ooty, Tamil Nadu and Srinagar in Jammu And Kashmir are the north and south best option.

October

With the welcoming winters in this month, the best place to visit in October is Odisha. The sky remains clear, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. To celebrate festivals, the junction month between the summers and winters is just so perfect. Kolkata into one of the top holiday destinations in India in October for Durga puja celebrations. Few more places are Jammu & Kashmir, Manas national park in Assam, Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh, Nalanda and Munnar.

November

In November, when the hill stations of the north receive their first snowy spells, the south enjoys a magical aura. November is the month of everyone’s favourite festival Diwali. And Diwali is always a celebration with family and home calling for people away from family. But if you are planning for travel then these places can make your trip and festival both enjoyable. Bodh Gaya, Bihar is one of the best places to visit in November. Few more places are Amritsar in Punjab, Hampi in Karnataka, Pushkar, Udaipur and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

This is the festive month and definitely a must year-end celebrations with chilly winters in many parts of India. But when celebrations and travelling come together then there is double the fun. Best places where you can travel in December 2020 and also enjoy the festive vibes of Christmas and New year 2021 are Alleppey (Kerala), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Pondicherry, Shillong and definitely Goa because Goa is the party capital.
