She is Artist Sadhana Paliwal.
Born on 12th Oct. 1955 at Agra, U.P. Sadhana is a multi talented artist. She is an artist of great repute with a mission and vision to promote art as a hobby. She is one of those artists who had been given this skill by God, initially, but had nurtured it and improvise to this present level.
She believes in implanting this zeal of creativity amongst the generation next, so that these art forms should not fade away into the wilderness.
As a child she was very much interested in art and crafts and picked up as a hobby, but soon she was addicted to learn more and start giving classes since 1991.
She is very much known as a Tanjore Artist. And one of her Tanjore painting was sold at Rs 75000. WOW !!!
Tanjore paintings are characterised by rich and vivid colours, simple iconic composition, glittering gold foils overlaid on delicate but extensive gesso work and inlay of glass beads and pieces or very rarely precious and semi-precious gems.
She enjoys utilizing various different Medias and tries to mend the old traditional art forms using newer materials keeping the original style and artforms intact like Tanjore, Mysore, Nathdwara, Jaipur, Miniature paintings, etc.
Her style of working is blending different forms using Clay, Ceramics, Terracotta & creating three dimensional effects and thus improvising on the traditional.
She has also developed a unique form of Painting i.e. Coffee Painting by using decoction of Coffee. Apart from painting on paper, canvas etc, she is only known artist to paint it on Marble also. Isn’t it Amazing????
One of her paintings was bestowed with a National Award in 21st national level exhibition of SCZCC in Oct.2007 in the category of Traditional, Tribal and Folk painting(open category) All India Art Contest-2007.

She had also won best painting award for her painting MOOD- 1 in an international contest held by a Jaipur Gallery Neelami House. And many more.
She had held 12 Exhibitions of her paintings and now displays her paintings in her personal exclusive Gallery & Studio ‘Kalasadhana’ at her residence. “Kalasadhana is a temple for me . Art is meditation. I come here everyday even if there is no student” She says.
Sadhana’s daughter Swati Rajoria , inspired by mother, is an artist too with record in Guiness Book.
Sadhana conducts workshops for teaching these forms regularly at her Studio. Since 1991 she had taught around 1500 students at her studio and in various vocational workshops to train mentally & physically-abled as well as to tribal, Interns of remand homes etc. in order to impart skill for sustaining in difficult times by Painting & Crafts.
She works together with an NGO to impart her art and craft knowledge to the students of 54 villages nearby. The needy people learn the art for free and become self dependent.
Few of her creations are also Internationally Acclaimed and are exhibited in World Silk Museum, South Korea, and also in presidential Palace in Seoul, South Korea. Some paintings are in various private collections in U.K., U.S.A. and U.A.E. Her paintings and works of art are also in various private collections in Nagpur, Delhi, Bhopal, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Calcutta, Coimbatore etc. It is indeed a proud Moment for all.
